I completed my Bachelor of Arts Honours degree with a Major in Anthropology and Minor in Psychology from York University.
I graduated from law school at the University of Alberta and was called to the bar in Ontario. I worked at a downtown Toronto law firm prior to establishing my law firm.
Currently, our firm has two staff members and we are in the process of retaining a new counsel.
Criminal Law
I have extensive expertise in the area of criminal law. I have appeared at various levels of court including the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice, The Court of Appeal for Ontario and Federal Court. My work has included representing clients at bail hearings, "judge alone" trials, jury trials, and applications for special remedies. The range of criminal charges or investigations in which I have successfully defended or assisted clients include but are not limited to: murder, attempt murder, manslaughter, dangerous operation causing death, sexual assault, assault with weapon, assault, trafficking heroine and/or cocaine and/or marijuana, smuggling, fraud, obstruction of justice, over 80, impaired.
My motivation is a continued commitment to establish our firm as an elite criminal defense law firm. I pride myself in being a trial lawyer who will advocate on your behalf, offering you a ‘Cadillac’ defense irrespective of your financial budget.
Family Law
My extensive expertise in criminal law is an asset which few counsel dealing in Family litigation can claim. Many of our Family Law cases involve instances where criminal charges have been laid in addition to the Family litigation.
I have successfully represented clients on both their family litigation and criminal proceedings resulting in substantial cost reduction for the client.
Disputes arising out of domestic separation, if not handled correctly and on a timely basis can become emotionally and financially destructive. It is essential that you know your rights and obligations arising out of marriage, cohabitation and separation and be advised on how to proceed to enforce those rights, meet the obligations and be protected.
